Christmas!

Our Christmas season was so much fun! I ended the school year with the best party ever (we played "jingle in the trunk" and it was HILARIOUS to watch 6 and 7 year olds shake their tail feathers)! We went to Branson with Andrew's parents to enjoy the lights and some last minute shopping :). We went to Malvern for Andrew's family Christmas and to Russellville for mine. It was the best Christmas yet - and I got my favorite present ever this year, a drop pearl necklace!!

Thanksgiving

I love my family. Andrew and I went down to Baton Rouge to spend some time with the Cajun's for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun! I got to see my favorite boys down south, eat some delicious cuisine, and watch the Hos/LSU game. The only thing that made the game worth watching was "Bubba Hog". We sat right beside him, and he entertained us far more than the Hogs did.

I am SUPER excited about this news!! I love Kristi so much and I think she is perfect for my brother. Of course, being the over bearing and somewhat bossy sister that I am, I made them take some pics a few days after the engagement. I was them to have that "glow" :).

Rodgers' Family - Cooper 6 Months

I love my every month photo sessions, and I love getting to know the Rodgers' family because of these sessions. For Cooper's 6 months, we went to Farmland Adventures. SO. MUCH. FUN! I haven't been to many pumpkin patches, so this one rocked my world. It was the perfect place for family fall pictures!

I LOVE little girls with accessories, and Bella had all of the necessary ones for a perfect one year photo shoot: tutu, big bow, pearls, and a smash cake.

I had fun making silly noises to get Bella to look at the camera. I always wonder what people think about that when they walk by...oh well!

I LOVE this sweet family! Courtney is my sisters best friend, and she has known me since I was little. It is so fun to get to see her and her precious family! They. are. awesome. Baby Remington is about to turn one, so they wanted to get some Razorback themed pics to go along with his party. I think they turned out pretty darn cute. :)

For $50 you can have a 30 minute mini session with a CD of 20-30 edited images and the rights to print the at any location, in any size or format!

That's right, you do NOT have to buy prints from me! You can use the CD to make as many copies or cards as you would like, and you can still get to choose your own card design from you favorite stores, websites or etsy shops! - Although, I highly recommend custom cards from Giraffic Arts

If you would like a longer session with more pictures, the price will be $100. You will still get the CD with the rights to print!

Julie and Matt and really pretty. They walked up to me, and I was like "whoa". Therefore, is was so fun, and so easy to take some good pictures of them (it didn't hurt that I got a red velvet cake ball out of the deal).

Payne is ONE!

My year with Payne has come to an end. To be perfectly honest, I was sad. It has been so much fun to watch Payne change every month. He was really awesome for our last session, he even laid his sweet little head down on my shoulder when I held him (melt my heart). Ryan and Sarah have been the biggest blessing. Without them, I probably wouldn't have HALF of my clients - THANK YOU GREEN'S!

We finished up Payne's first year by going back to campus. He had a Razorback themed party, so it was just the perfect spot AND this is where we took his very first pictures.

Just to see how much he has changed. This is a newborn shot and 12 months on the steps of Old Main.

Ryan and Sarah were also so sweet to ask me to photograph his party. It was a great way to wrap up the year!

The Cook's Celebrate 5 Years!

I LOVE my family, a lot. I think everyone is gorgeous and so much fun. Every time we go to the beach, we get a huge family picture. This year, not everyone could be there at the same time, so I got pictures of each family separately. It was such a fun vacation, but it was crazy!

Yes, there are a lot of pictures, but they are probably my favorite pictures on the blog, so you should look at them :)

Have you ever seen one of those couples that are just so stinkin' pretty your jaw drops? That's how I felt when I saw Taylor and Josh. Taylor is so sweet and we are friends from high school. She asked me to take their engagement pictures and I am so glad that she did. We had a great time and got some great shots!

Christen and Graham met at the greatest place on Earth, so we took their pictures at the greatest place on Earth, Bogg Springs! It's where I fell in love with Andrew, and it just so happens to be where Andrew lives! We had so much fun capturing their love at a place that we all love so much. Whittington Maternity Session

I am lucky enough to have met this sweet couple through church and small group. They are expecting baby Isaac in a few weeks, and Martha is just GLOWING! They decided to do a 1 year package, so they will get this maternity session, a newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 12 month session and I'm so excited to watch Isaac grow during his first year!

Papa Pat turns 100!!

My sweet Papa had his 100th birthday on March 2. I know, it's awesome. He is an American hero - for real. He grew up a country boy, went to fight in the Navy during WWII and did some legit things. Then he went to fight in Korea. He received LOTS of amazing medals and has great stories to tell. He stayed true and married to my sweet grandma for years and years (not sure how many) and helped raise and support 5 children. I have LOVED him my entire life. Some of my oldest memories are sitting in his chair with him and cracking pecans. He is missing his thumb and I was always nervous that it hurt him to crack nuts without a thumb :). He had a shed in his backyard and my favorite toys were in there. Best of all, he grew me my very own sunflower garden. LOVE. HIM.

The family decided to honor him by gathering here in NWA and celebrate his amazing life! He is living up here in the VA home.

He was thrilled for us to sing "happy birthday" to him. His name is Patrick Henry O'Neal and is very proud of his Irish heritage, so we had a St. Patty's Day themed party!

To help him remember who all was at the party, I did some photo booth shots that my mom is going label and put in an album for him.

Ella's 9 Month Pictures

Ella is the cutest thing ever! Her outfit is the reason I would love to have a little girl (someday - NO babies on board just yet). Thankfully, we had an amazingly warm day for her session so that she could wear this purple-ruffle number. I got some good serious faces and some awesome smiles. I can see a modeling career in her future for sure :).

I am loving me some Payne right now. I can't believe he is half way to ONE! He is delivering the PERFECT smiles which makes perfect pictures. I am really looking forward to our 7 month session because Sarah says he is sitting up without props! LOVE IT!

Photography 101

Last weekend, I was SOO excited to go to Melissa McCrotty's Photography 101 class! To be perfectly honest, I have been using my camera on the automatic setting and then really working with them during the editing process, but NOT ANY MORE! I've heard a million times what the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed mean, but I never really comprehended. At the class I actually took notes and then she allowed time for us to "shoot" one of her clients! It's so true that practice makes perfect. I love what I learned, and I think everybody should check out Melissa's work. She is amazing!
